The Vogt sterling and leather company is a small family owned business that has been building fine sterling and leather accessories for over 40 years. Today cattle rancher, Chet Vogt, and his son Casey own and operate Vogt Western Silver, and continue to inject the family's ranch-raised, outdoorsman background into the design and construction of these quality products.

The Vogt silver shop has been building beautiful, hand-crafted western sterling accessories for over 40 years.  Located in Old Mexico, it draws upon the region's 400 years of silversmithing tradition which began with the arrival of Spanish conquistadores and the development of the Mexican vaquero.  Their original methods and knowledge were passed on to early Spanish Californians, the native Americans of the southwest, and the western silversmiths of the 20th century.  From these great teachers many North American artisans learned techniques still practiced today, so we like to say that "four centuries of tradition go into every piece we build. We look for Vogt, but also feature a selection of Native American pieces as well ... look for the unusual.

Silver & Crushed Turquoise BEN YAZZIE Navajo

This older buckle is signed by Ben Yazzi. There are many Navajo Native Americans named Yazzi of which some 20 were named Yazzi, but none of them Ben. Visit their site to learn more about the code talkers.

This buckle is a large 4.25" x 3.50" and weighs in at 4.18 ounces. It is unmarked as to silver content.

Unmarked as Sterling Silver and surface scratches reveal use over the years making a real value difficult. Certainly a conversation piece though!
