A video book about power and how to (ab)use it!

The essence of all slavery consists in taking the product of another's labor by force. It is immaterial whether this force be founded upon ownership of the slave or ownership of the money that he must get to live." -- Leo Tolstoy

The following video presentations examine American and World History.  Our efforts here are intended to offer an insight about the future for America if it continues down the road toward European socialism.  Far too many people understand American History and how its unique free enterprise system has become the economic engine for the world.  Economics affects everybody.  Neglecting its importance is inviting consequences proven to be disastrous for people the world over.

In this e-book, we have attempted to sequence a variety of videos chronologically in an effort to show how historic changes have not always been for the better.  After all, history by definition, is the study of change.  One can only learn by paying attention to the lessons learned from history.  The videos are intended to stimulate thinking.  Many of these have been added  to address current and future issues sure to have a major effect on the American people.  We hope you are enlightened and delighted after the viewings.

  1948 -- Make Mine Freedom -- A Cartoon Presentation

Sixty-four years after that 1948 cartoon, the message rings true. To fully appreciate the content, watch the video a second time and pay close attention to the words. Does the ISM huckster remind you of anyone in the news? No? Take away the mustache and look again. Uncanny resemblance huh?

The ISM sold by the huckster in the cartoon is being sold today. The same promises and stock phrases like "everything is fine" is bottled up and rolled out to the public. ISM never has expiration dates or warning labels.

Why eat a wild mushroom without knowing if it is poisonous? Same with ISM. ISM eventually becomes much worse than plain old food poisoning.

Government is rule by force and, taken to its extremes, fosters oppression. Marxism leads to Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Nazism and all manner of centralized control of the people. The wealth created by the labor of the people is confiscated and the rewards of their work is stolen. History proves it!

Toward the end of the cartoon, we heard about "class warfare", "race hatred" and "religious intolerance." Apparently not much has changed in 64 years.

From the earliest days of America to the 1948 cartoon and on to the present day, Americans need to be reminded about their heritage and how events can alter the future to the detriment of their way of life.

According to John P. Kotter, Professor at Harvard Business School, "Without credible communication, and a lot of it, the hearts and minds of others are never captured."

And so there will always be a need to remind Americans of their unique position in the history of the world. There will always be a need for meaningful cartoons, credible videos and books in any form.

Capturing the hearts and minds of others is possible. According to Kenneth A. Wells, Author of Guide to Good Leadership, "A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with."

Change the word listener to reader. In either instance, one can assume that a mind is open to learning and understanding. Open-minded individuals without a clear understanding of business and government and how they relate to each other in terms of politics and economics should read this book.

Power is controlling the lives of others. Slavery, detention, or oppression is power and a threat to personal liberty. There will always be power seekers trying to take freedom away.

Common sense suggests that families must not entrust their liberty to those who will abuse their trust. Those who seek to understand the differences between free enterprise and socialism will be richly rewarded. Survival of the American lifestyle is at stake.

Understanding the lifestyles that can result from a free enterprise system versus the lifestyles that do result under socialism is vital to the interests of John Q. Public ... meaning all of us.

To paraphrase Mr. Wells, one should understand what one is disagreeing with.

1949  Why Play Leap Frog  -- Fun and Facts About America

Cold War-era cartoon aimed at convincing workers that increased productivity brings about greater purchasing power.
The third sharp-looking cartoon in the "fun and facts about American business" series, beautifully animated by John Sutherland Productions. "Joe" (see MEET KING JOE) works at the Dilly-Doll factory as a face painter, and is upset because nearly every one of his raises is offset by an increase in the cost of goods. But the narrator explains that labor costs are to blame (not excessive profits or executive bonuses) and Joe quickly learns to use the system to his own benefit. A Freedoms Foundation award-winner.   1951 -- Meet King Joe --
Cold War cartoon aimed at American workers with the objective of convincing them of their good fortune.

Here's the companion piece to Harding College's and John Sutherland's "Make Mine Freedom." This time the primary focus is on capitalism, the American worker and the beauty of the FREE MARKET! These ideals and entities are truly hated by BHO and his commie lib cronies. Released on 13 Sept 1951.

Isn't it ironically interesting that some of the best educational vids EVER produced were produced in the WORST of times? And that's because we freedom lovers are no different in 2009 than we have been at ANY point in human history. The worst of STILL brings out the BEST in most of us.

"Marxism and Communism fails. You cannont have a Society where the government makes all decisions and provides all ends and means. Free Markets Revolutionized mankind and created everything around us. Milton Friedman -- Video clips from 1978-1979 -- Applicable today!

An excerpt from The Phil Donahue show (1979) where Milton Friedman talks in short about Capitalism and Socialism and what impact it has on societies.
In his book "Capitalism and Freedom" (1962) Milton Friedman (1912-2006) advocated minimizing the role of government in a free market as a means of creating political and social freedom.

Milton Friedman: Redistribution of Wealth
Milton Friedman clears up misconceptions about wealth redistribution, in general, and inheritance tax, in particular.

Milton Friedman: Why soaking the rich won't work
The video is self-explanatory. This is a cut of an interview with the economist Milton Friedman, which answers a question about what rich people do with the profits they maliciously obtained from the poor citizens of our great nation.

Milton Friedman fields questions from medical professionals at the Mayo Clinic regarding his advocacy of a free market in health care.

Milton Friedman - Socialized Medicine
Nobel Laureate Economist Milton Friedman explores the unsettling dynamics set into motion when government imposes itself into the health care system. (1978)

Milton Friedman on Slavery and Colonization
This clip is from the 15-part lecture series, "Milton Friedman
A student poses a question to Milton Friedman in which he asks for an appraisal of just how exactly the riches that now exist in the so called "capitalist democracies" were obtained and how those countries became so rich so quick. Specifically he asks Friedman to account for the effect that having free labor derived from slavery allowed them to enrich themselves, and how the possession of colonies allowed rich countries to bleed wealth out of their colonial domains.
The Most Persistent Economic Fallacy of All Time!

From a lecture given by Dr. Milton Friedman in Erie, Pennsylvania (1978). This is essentially a restatement of the "parable of the broken window." This fallacy has been known since at least 1850 when French theorist Frédéric Bastiat published a pamphlet entitled, "That Which is Seen and That Which is Not Seen." Think about how much better off the world could be if the free enterprise economic model that is uniquely American could be made available to the poverty stricken of the world.

To me, "Change"  and "spreading the wealth" means extending the blessings of liberty and free enterprise and not taking from the rich and giving to the poor. By any standard of morality, Robin Hood was a thief. The same can be said for those who adopt the lie that is Marxism.

Besides, If all the wealth of the rich was distributed to the poor of the world, how long would that money last when spread among 5.6 BILLION people?

Individual inspiration and persistence coupled with personal freedom and unfettered free enterprise is the only honest and moral way to ENABLE the poor of the world to catch up.

  The Present -- AGENDA 21

There are people that want to transform America and put our problems into the hands of the rest of the world. The best thing we can do is link arms together, neighbor to neighbor and reach out to our houses of worship and community centers and take care of each other like God and the Founders intended. But a growing number of people are latching on to the idea of globalism...groundwork is being laid right now for government control on a global level. These people have mastered the art of hiding it in plain sight and then just dismissing it as a joke...such is the case with Agenda 21. What is Agenda 21? Find out on this video.

What is going on today to deal with the world's population?

Next are two short excerpts from a recently filmed TED presentation (Feb 2010) by none other than Bill "Microsoft" Gates.

At the heart of Gates' address lies the central Global Warming dogma, which dictates that Co2 emitted by human beings are the primary culprit for the unwanted heating of the globe. Since this artificial alleged human-induced heating effect allegedly stands to devastate the planet if left unabated, Global Warming dogma proponents therefore argue that human Co2 emissions must be drastically reduced. As Gates casually addresses the issue, he goes on to state that one way to accomplish this goal is to reduce the global human population.

ERRATUM: To be completely fair and accurate, I should have stated that Gates seeks to reduce the anticipated growth of the human population rather than that he seeks to reduce the current population. I admit that the latter slogan, that is contained in the video, is a bit misleading and I do not want to insinuate that Gates seeks to kill off currently living people. He rather seeks to lower the projected population growth.

He postulates the central equation, giving an estimation of the humanly emitted C02 load per year, to be:

Co2 = P times S times E times C

Where P stands for the population number, S the average number of services per person, E the average amount of energy units per service, and C the average Co2 emitted load per unit of service, per year; Co2 stands for the projected total humanly emitted carbon-dioxide load by the entire population per year.

In the first clip you will hear him state in plain language that he considers VACCINES to be desirable to bring down the future population number P and so reduce Co2. You will also casually hear him promoting HEALTH CARE and REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES, to accomplish that same C02 reducing goal.

Here are Bill Gates' verbatim words [square parentheses additions for clarification purposes are mine though]:
"The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's heading up to about nine billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that [number of 9 billion] by perhaps 10 or 15 percent. But there we see an increase of about 1.3 [billion]."

Let's focus on the vaccines. Gates is stating that he considers vaccines to be useful in contributing to bring the projected population growth of 2.2 billion down to 1.3 billion, roughly one billion. What kind of properties can thus reasonably be deduced that vaccines are to have according to Gates? Well, basically all the properties that impede people to either have children, or successfully rear them. In other words, Gates implicitly advocates the definition of his favorite kind of vaccine to be one that fosters infertility, sterility and (early onset) senility (autism) alike. Note that Gates does not mention a word on the much touted purported intention of vaccines: to offer protection against relevant diseases and therefore as such, precisely prolong life. Given the abundance of toxins in vaccines (see my blog for some links of simply Google "toxin ingredient vaccine"), the position that vaccines contribute to decrease mortality rates, is kind of hard to maintain.

So Gates proves to be quite the humanitarian there huh?

In the second excerpt you hear Gates explain what he considers to be the single most important thing that he would choose to see become a reality in the future time span of 50 years. He again confirms his "love" for the vaccine.

  Agenda 21
Agenda 21 is a product of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, and it is the means by which Americans may soon be saddled with lower living standards. Agenda 21 is implementing "soft law" through ICLEI, which amounts to bribes and regulations imposed by state and local governments.

  The Future
Population Control – Eugenics Depopulation Agenda
Has eugenics faded away with time, or has the pseudo science morphed and cloaked itself under new auspices. Were some of the original founders of population control efforts themselves eugenicists? How and when did eugenicists shift from golden era ideas to Malthusian population control. While there are examples of eugenics in practice in its pre-World War II form, eugenicists have course scaled back rhetoric and reframed their ideas in the post-World War II world. Eugenicists who have still caught on to the discredited principles of eugenics, now attach these ideas to environmentalism and population control in an attempt to carry on eugenics in a more veiled form. Malthusian population control was now emphasized.

Several prominent families are responsible for funding and promoting eugenics in America. Namely the Rockefeller, Carnegie, Harriman, and Osborn families. Two families, the Rockefellers and the Osborns, are particularly significant. John D. Rockefeller senior contributed a large amount of money to develop Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in the early 1900s, which housed the eugenics records office from 1910 to 1944. Rockefeller influence also spread overseas to Germany, where the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Psychiatry and the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Eugenics, Anthropology, and Human Heredity resided. Much of the money used to run these facilities came directly from Rockefeller. These institutes became centers for Nazi eugenics programs during the reign of Adolf Hitler.

In 1932, the third international eugenics conference was held in New York City. The conference was hosted by Henry Fairfield Osborn. It was during this conference that an honored guest from Germany attended. Ernst Rüdin was elected by the conference attendees as president of the International Federation of Eugenics Organizations. Rüdin went on to craft the policies that governed Adolf Hitler’s genocide programs, at the Kaiser Wilhelm institute.

Fredrick Henry Osborn, the cousin of Henry Fairfield Osborn, praised the Nazi eugenics programs as a vital experiment. Osborn wrote in 1937 “The German sterilization program is apparently an excellent one, although it is generally doubted whether equal or better results might not have been obtained by a voluntary rather than a compulsory system. Taken altogether, recent developments in Germany constitute perhaps the most important experiment which has ever been tried.”

The influence of the Rockefeller family continued in 1945, when John D. Rockefeller Jr donated the land in which the United Nations stands in New York City. With the founding of the United Nations, the Rockefeller family heralded a new beginning for eugenics under the guise of population control.

In 1952, John D. Rockefeller III, the oldest son of John D. Rockefeller Jr, founded the population council. Population Council’s stated goal is to seek better understanding of the problems related to population. The first president of the council was Fredrick Henry Osborn, who was appointed by Rockefeller himself. Osborn was a prominent eugenicist who helped found the American Eugenics Society, which is now called the Society for the Study of Social Biology. Osborn headed the AES from 1946 to 1952, when he began to place greater emphasis on population control, rather than eugenics, signaling the shift in post-World War II eugenics.

Frank Notestein was one of the most prominent individuals who made the study of population an institutional practice. He was a member of the American Eugenics society, the American Philosophical Society, and the Council on Foreign Relations. Notestein also served as president of John D. Rockefeller’s Population Council, after Fredrick Osborn stepped down. He was also the first director of the United Nations population division, from 1946 to 1948. In a 1969 paper written by Notestein title The Problem with population Control, he outlined a strategy to depopulate target populations. Notestein admits that economic monetization will bring the birth rate down automatically, however, he goes on to state that more drastic measures must be taken, because in his opinion this method would not be fast enough. He writes “Given existing preferences in family size, governments must go beyond voluntary family planning. To achieve zero rate of population growth, governments will have to do more than cajole, they will have to coerce…. to impose more drastic changes on a large scale implies many risks, not least to the regime that undertakes them.
The price for this type of population control may well be in the institution of a totalitarian regime.”

An eye opening documentary revealing how the world’s most prominent families have been connected to the agenda of population control and eugenics throughout the world since the early 20th century. These closely associated bloodlines have implemented depopulation programs under such pretenses as birth control, environmentalism, vaccines, and globalization.

This is a terrible thing to say. In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it's just as bad not to say it." — Jacques Cousteau, UNESCO Courier (November 1991)

Though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for Unesco to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care, and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake so that much that now is unthinkable may at least become thinkable." — UNESCO Director-general Julian Huxley (1947)

"Central to the issues we are going to have to deal with are: ... the explosive increase in population.... We have been the most successful species ever; we are now a species out of control." — Maurice F. Strong, former UNCED Secretary-General (1992)

"Since its inception, the U.N. has advanced a world-wide program of population control, scientific human breeding, and Darwinism." — Claire Chambers, The SIECUS Circle: A Humanist Revolution (1977)

The four factors of fair use per YouTube:
1. The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes

Courts typically focus on whether the use is “transformative.” That is, whether it adds new expression or meaning to the original, or whether it merely copies from the original.

2. The nature of the copyrighted work

Using material from primarily factual works is more likely to be fair than using purely fictional works.

3. The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole

Borrowing small bits of material from an original work is more likely to be considered fair use than borrowing large portions. However, even a small taking may weigh against fair use in some situations if it constitutes the “heart” of the work.

4. The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work

Uses that harm the copyright owner’s ability to profit from his or her original work are less likely to be fair uses. Courts have sometimes made an exception under this factor in cases involving parodies.

Free Enterprise Eliminates Poverty

The common thread of unrest in the world is the despair felt when people have abandoned hope of comfort or success. We believe in extending the American political and economic system to fight the problem of world-wide poverty and civil unrest.

"We need to explain how only free enterprise gives young people the opportunity to change their lives and live their dreams.
- Only a free market economy lifts people from poverty, or the middle class, to the life of their dreams.
- Only a free market economy  creates true hope and opportunity.
- Only a free market economy motivates the creators and producers of this world to make the impossible...possible.

Here's the truth: capitalism created the cure for polio, and capitalism will someday cure cancer and AIDS.

Capitalism created desktop computers, the Internet, smartphones, iTunes, iPads, Skype, Facebook, Twitter, texting, DirecTV and much, much more.

The things that shape our world were not created in Cuba, the Soviet Union, or the old People’s Republic of China. And they weren’t created by government either. They were created by entrepreneurs hoping to change the world, and get rich doing it!"
... Wayne Allyn Root

Compared to the lives of the peoples of the world, the uniquely American Free Enterprise Economic System (Capitalism) has fostered fantastic wealth ... even for the poorest Americans.
